That appears to be completely consistent with the trials I did in San Diego last year and described in a thread here a few months ago.

I think you got the better end of that deal. I've seen those adapters in action.

I recently got a chance to pattern the LE132 1B from my Mossberg 930 SPX. I got very similar results with about a 10" spread at 20 yards.

Pawpaw made me a believer.
That shot is impressive! And was easy on the shoulder too. ;)

I found some "00" at Cabela's a few weeks ago, but have not seen the #1 stuff anywhere online or at retail in a very long time.
"GT's web site says "contact us". that's as close to "available" as I've seen.
Back-ordered some from Bass Pro last year and after about 4 months they refunded my $$ and canceled the order.
You can order the "00" from gander right now, but still no #1 that I can find.

O well.

Here's a gel test of the Flitecontrol #1 buck:

I was able to buy a fair amount of it online several months ago (Thanks JALLEN!), but I can't find it now.

For home defense, I'm sold on the #1. Outside the house, I'll take the 00 Flitecontrol. I have a supply of that, too.

Has any one done a comparison of LE132 vs other brands? I found one comparison of 2-3/4" LE132 00 VS 2-3/4" PD132 00 with a short barrel (probably 18") shotty on another forum. I didn't see a great deal of difference between that test and one I did with an 18" Win 1300 Defender and an old JC Higgins 21" Model 20 ( HS FliteKing) using 2-3/4" Spartan 00. Both the Federal and Spartan were 9 pellet loads. My Spartan test was at 50ft and the Federal test was done at 15yds. My patterns at 25ft were also comparable to the 10yds shots on the Federal review. I was very surprised to see that. I I would feel comfortable using the Spartan ammo for PD at distances I would expect to encounter. I'd like to find some of the Federal ammo in 1B to compare also but I can't find any in any brand. I was surprised at the performance of the old JC Higgins Mod 20 with the shortened 21" barrel. I keep it in my truck and have the Defender for home defense since it holds more rounds.
