I don't know if this is the best place to put this, but here it is...I'm going to begin the process of putting together a long range rifle and am curious if there are any specific recommendations for a rifle smith in the Dallas/Plano/Frisco area. I've never needed "formal" assistance with any firearm I've owned, but I'd like to have a reference or two if I run into an issue. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking about someone to install picatinny rail, rings, and scope and possibly do some stock work. Rifle is almost surely to be a Remington 700 in .308.
I did a search and found a reference to Scott Platt at Bear Creek and another for Pigeon Road in Stephenville, but that's about all that was relatively recent.

Re: Gunsmith
Are you doing a total custom build? Of just dressing up a stock rifle?

Re: Gunsmith
Not as close as you asked, but Euless Guns & Ammo has a qualified gunsmith who builds custom bolt rifles. That's where I take my stuff when it needs attention.

Re: Gunsmith
This will be a small-scale deal to build up an out-of-the-box Remington 700. I'm looking to have resources identified as I begin the process. Thanks for the info.
