Shopping this weekend

#1

Post by Gollum86 »

So I'm going to go to the gun show in Conroe this weekend (it's been many years since I've been to a show). After reading a bunch on this forum, I decided to start getting parts to build an AR15, and I figured I'd check out what they had for lowers at the show. But now I've been reading up on the Mosin Nagant 91/30 and would really like one of those! Are they still as readily available and cheap like I've been reading?

Should probably be able to find them anywhere from the 90-120 dollar range.

Great, guess that means I'll have to make a decision on what to get. Or maybe something completely different, lol.

If you do decide to build an AR and you see a complete bolt carrier group for under $119, snatch it up. Those things are getting hard to find at that price.

If mosins are still priced like the use to, you might be able to get both.

If I came home with both I'd probably be sleeping outside with the dog

I'd prob stick with accumulating AR parts. Everything AR related seems to be getting harder and harder to find and its just going to get worse as the election gets closer. I just don't see people going on a buying run for mosins like they are doing for AR's and pistols.

I also second the advice on the BCG. If you can find one for less than 120, get it.

CDNN seems to have some in stock for $120, but you have to pay ship and sales tax in TX.
