AK Jammed today

#1

Post by Weg »

Say it ain' t so... After decades of shooting Multiple AK's and thousands of rounds of ammo, it finally happened, an AK jammed on me. On the 5th or sixth round out of a 30 rd. mag., it stovepiped while trying to feed the the next round. I'm pretty sure it was a mag. issue as I had never used this mag. before, and it is a very tight fit going into the mag. well. Anyhow, I junked the mag and went through several others with no issues. Guess there is first for everything.

Did you keep a proper chain of custody until you photographed it to back up your claims? :smilelol5:

Does happen, tho. When I got my WASR 10/63, I found the mag catch was too short, which allowed the back of the mag to move downward too far and somehow induced the rifle to try to feed too many rounds at once. Replaced it and works like a champ now.

I took an AK course from Sonny Puzikas back in May. He was using an AK-74 that would periodically fail to extract - the firing chamber had dirt buld-up in it. He finally traded it for another AK-74, explaining that he had been running the previous one without cleaning or lubing it to see how far it would go. So how far did it go? About 6500 rounds, he said.

What is this nonsense about cleaning and lubing an AK? I usually just bang mine on the concrete a few times to shake some of the mud loose.

You guys are all liars. Us AR guys are always hearing about how AKs don't ever jam.......kinda like Glocks never jam.........and our ARs are jammomatic pieces of crap. Highly accurate crap, but crap none the less. "rlol"

Did you try feeding it some of that ammo dug up from some Bulgarian farmer's field? Maybe the ammo wasn't dirty enough? :smilelol5:

How much do I have to pay to keep you away from my guns?

Weg, you do realize bad things come in three's don't you

Murphy is just waiting for the opportune time to dump #3 on you

Now, the way I see it, your set to make a lot of money here...apostate has already asked how much it will cost to stay away from his guns and I'm sure there are others just as eager to avoid having #3 happen to their Roscoe's... so name your price, and be a millionaire by next weekend :evil2:

I got rid of the only Glock I ever owned because it jammed so much.
