I went to the Houston gun show today. I really did not have anything to shop for in particular, but I had a few friends who I was meeting there. I picked up some ammo, a new front pocket holster for my 38....basically, I was out parking, and entrance fee....

I came across a booth with Cammenga Speed mags for my AR 223. I have 8 mil spec mags, 10 p-mags, all for one AR. I have enough mags. The vendor demonstrated the Cammenga speed mag to me, and it was cool. The things are built VERY well compared to the mil spec stuff, so I bought a few (ok, 6 mags)

These mags seem really good, easy and quick to load, and good quality. I have not used them in real life as of yet, but they do have the "new car smell" at this point.

These mags feel like I could drive my car over them with little effect compared to the normal mags.

I already have 6 of these things...anyone have any experience with them?

Is this how my wife feels when shopping for shoes?

Are those called easymag with sliding front part? How mich you paid for each?

One in the same. I got a six pack for $100 bucks. I don't know if I got a deal or not, but it was an impuse thing.

The cool factor got the best of me.

I would nat paid more than 15 for each. Also, I have no experience with those magz. Anyone tried rhem? How about feeding reiability?

I have one. It's not that great to load. I feel like I can go faster with regular loading and have less bumbling, shaking to get the previous round straight, etc. It is built very tough though and feels solid. $100 seems pretty good for 6 of them ( I think I paid $21 for mine), although I don't like them enough to have 6. Rather have a PMag.

I took them to the range today. Cons, they are not as easy to load as they would seem, but by my 4th mag I was getting better. Maybe it is a learning curve. Pros - these things are built REALLY well and thick. I would run over these things with a truck and they would still be good.

I probably paid a bit under retail, but hey, it was an impulse buy.

Pmags are much less expensive, and it's not like I need to speed load EVER.

Still, having 6 more 30rnd mags is 6 more than I had before....and that is not a bad thing

I read this review about them, which came with mixed results. The biggest issue was feeding malfunctions.

I have a LULA loader for my AR-15 mags. Makes it much faster, and much easier on the thumbs.

This thread got me to looking around and I decided to order the StripLULA.

It works very well and has the advantage of also being able to use it on stripper clips.

Wow, that looks awesome. That looks like no more cutting my knuckles on stripper clips, or keeping track of the guide piece. It says it also makes for quick unloading of mags, which is a real benefit. Have you tried this yet? If so, how well does it work?

It works for unloading, but you could do the same thing with a quarter, screwdriver, etc.

Basically you use one end of the thing to push on the second round from the top, which allows the top round to fall out. As shown in the video, you have to hold the mag so the ammo is pointing down.
