Just picked up one of these over lunch at Academy.
Will grab some ammo and head out to the range with it this weekend. This should solve the HD question once and for all :)
You're asking the wrong guy :) specs say "choke: N/A"seamusTX wrote: Speaking of chokes, what does it come out of the box with? Does it have a fixed or screw-in choke?
front bead only. What kind of sights does it have?
H&R/NEF is also Marlin, all owned by Remington.austinrealtor wrote:I'm considering one of these, but does anyone know if it will either
a) take Rem 870 barrels?
or
b) does H&R/NEF offer field-length barrels, preferably a 26- or 28-inch vent rib, and at a decent price?
Hmm. This manual covers the entire PP lineup. The article references a 28" bbl. I think any information in that article refers to models other than the $159.00 Protector. It has an 18.5" bbl and no choke at all that I can find. Am I missing something?lrb111 wrote:There is tool with the shottie for unscrewing the modified choke. There is some questions about which choke is shipped with the gun. The manual says modified, but the field guns are full choke....
That's what I get for reading the directions. I know real men read directions as a last resort.RiverCity.45 wrote:Hmm. This manual covers the entire PP lineup. The article references a 28" bbl.
