Looks nice. Is that the price for the upper or the whole gun?

Apologies for the intrusion, but who has any experience with the 10/22 extended magazines? :tiphat:

Brother has several 25 and 50 rounders, all aftermarket and plastic but some have steel feed lips. Sure makes plinking fun! :fire He also has an autoloader for them which sure aids in loading all those rounds.

Will the lower be able to accept a regular AR upper? Like...I slip a $500 plinking gun past the better half by telling her how much SHE'LL love it, then I go buy a real .223 or 6.8 SPC upper to drop on it for MY fun gun.

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009 ... cal-rifle/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; According to someone in the comments on this blog, the lower will be a dedicated polymer lower, so no.. it seems you won't be able to swap uppers. But we'll just have to see.

Is this still planned to be released next month? I don't see the M&P 15-22 on http://www.smith-wesson.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That looks really cool for the price. I think it looks better than the 10/22 Archangel kits out there. My buddy is looking at a spikes tactical .22lr upper with a 5.5" barrel. But I think they want $700 just for the upper. Its cool b/c it does not need the buffer tube so you can install their buffer plug and it works on blowback.

here is the link to this awesomeness. Have fun and don't drool too much.

Looks like a nice deal. Hopefully the gun itself is made out of the same materials as normal S&W AR's. We got a couple of Colt .22LR rifles and both were extremely cheaply made. The metal was thinner than a normal mil-spec Colt. They were made in Germany by Walther with Colt's name on the rifle. One gun was completely broken where the buffer tube screws into the lower right thru the rear take-down pin. The other gun already had a crack in the same place and these were not damaged during shipping. We were very disappointed with this product. Hopefully we'll get these Smiths soon. We really like the Tactical Solutions uppers. They're more than a complete S&W, but they're extremely well made.

I can't see myself spending more than $300-500 for a 22 rifle. Well maybe if I was a nationally ranked competiton shooter. "rlol"

Gun is poly in both upper and lower. Fondled it extensively at the NRA Show. Charging handle works the entire bolt, just like its centerfire kin. Mags are sweet, and IIRC, they said it will come with two. The only thing NOT exactly like the feel of a typical M4 is the weight, due to the poly.

Has anyone seen one at stores or a consumer gun show yet? This would be a good Independence Day holiday purchase.
Google has lots of hits from the SHOT trade show but I still don't see it on the S&W website.
