P-Mags in College Station

#1

Post by barres »

As of yesterday (3/5/2009), Champion Firearms in College Station had black non-window 30-round P-mags, tan window 30-round P-mags, and black 20-round P-mags for 5.56/.223 AR-15's in-stock. They are not price gouging. The black 30-rounders I picked up were $16 each (plus tax, of course). The windowed tan ones were $17.95 each, IIRC. I didn't really pay any attention to the price on the 20-rounders. If you're in the area and looking for mags for your AR, Champion Firearms is the place to go. Good products and great people. :tiphat:

It just occured to me that Magpul might call the mags that I'm calling tan their Flat Dark Earth color. I don't know, as I was specifically looking for black.

Yes, Magpul's P-mags are a plastic polymer. They're also probably one of the most popular and hard-to-find brand of AR mags on the market right now. Completely reliable, light, and very tough. Magpul has pulled a random mag from inventory and run over it with a full-size pickup truck and then used the mag, and it worked completely as it should. There are links to the video on Magpul's website.

Oh, BTW, the P-mags I picked up yesterday were the new design that allow the cover to be attached to the bottom of the mag. If you're familiar with P-mags, you'll have an idea of what I'm talking about.
