What full auto would you consider and why?

Thompson. No doubt in my mind the best fully auto weapon ever produced (maybe the vulcan minigun wins this, but yea).

I really want to make a modern materials based thompson. One that has far less muzzle rise, and is integrally suppressed.

Not to mention a modern one without all that wood might actually be a decent weight...old guns were heavy for what they were.

There are enough AK's around the world (except here of course) to pave a highway to the moon. Can we get one? Not unless your packing (cash that is).

I would love to have an original AK-47, Ma Deuce, and many others. But I'm not Uncle Ted. (I wonder if needs any new friends?)

Nope, not even close. Prices are artificially high as there is a finite fixed supply with the current laws in place. If NFA ever gets repealed or the registry opened up then prices should be the same as semiauto, the parts are virtually the same, an extra hole or a different sear for example. Criminals get to buy brand new ones or even barely used ones for next to nothing and no paperwork or stamp fees. A few years ago I knew of a FA Mac that a guy was wanting $1000 for but it was illegal so of course I passed. Same gun is roughly around 10g for a legal one?

Not only are prices artificially high, but if they ever did re-open the registry, there are a lot of guns that people have paid $10-15k for that would suddenly plummet in value.

Ironically, the people with the most vested interest in keeping the laws unchanged are the ones with the biggest investment in FA NFA guns.

That price, $10,200.00, is a little high for the Mini-UZI, but not for a Micro-UZI. The rate of fire on those are really pretty high and not as much fun to shoot as the full size UZI.

There is a select fire Micro Uzi on Sturmgewehr in Dallas for $8500.00. Also, a standard Uzi in Florida for $6995.

An MP5... As I've been issued one once, fired one a LOT, have a NON select fire version now, and could actually somewhat afford to fire it more then once a year. And of course, I'd have to go the extra $200 for a tax stamp suppressor as well.

Having fired ever full auto weapon the Army has issued (not include air craft versions) I can say they are all a joy to run though a course of fire... But for personal use, and play time, the M16 platform would not be my choice as it just is not that much fun to shoot, in auto... and Ammo is more then the 9mm.. which has to come in to play on the choice for most of us.

an M240B would be a blast as would a G3, or M249, or M2HB, or many others,,, But buy in and ammo costs would make it an at best, once a year shooter.... not worth it in my book.

Glock 18....it's so small and easy to carry! Just be sure to have plenty of spare magazines.

Seriously though, aside from the coolness factor of the Glock 18, I would really like to own an MP5 some day. There's a reason it was so popular among LE and other special units for so long...and the ammo is cheap compared to some other larger platforms.
