Sorry about the delay in responding, I've been out of town on a camping trip. So far, here's what I've got into it:

CCMG Rifle (without rear sight or magazine): $600
30rd Magazine: $13
Shipping: $24
FFL Transfer: $15
ARMS 40L rear sight from TAM: $90
UTG quad rail from TAM: $30
Vertical Grip: $15
Troy Battle Sling $30

Looks like a total of about $817 so far.

I boought one of the bargain bin guns last year (I like the "BB Guns" sticker on the box). Heck of a deal for the price. I sold mine recently (I still have my rifle length AR though).
Ben Franklin once stated that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I tend to agree with him.

Pictures of my AR-15 (in M4 configuration) targets shot at 50 yards using iron sights. 30 rounds per target.

Of course, I have lots more practice than you with this weapon, having spent 6 years in the Army as an infantryman.

After about 20,000 rounds or so, you should be able to group like this.

Wow. And I paid $1,250 for my bare bones AR-15 at the Big Town Gun Show right after Obama was sworn in.....

You got a great deal on that rifle. Color me jealous. :cryin

Wow, looks like I really need to do some practicing to get it down that small. What position were you shooting from, like were you seated or resting it on a bench?

These were shot while seated, with the rifle's hand grip resting on a wooden support on a bench, and my left arm cradling the stock against my right shoulder.

Two weeks ago I bought a CMMG. It has given me perfect performance. Now I'm dreaming about accessories.
