Matching Rifle and Pistol caliber weapons goes big!
There was a post about .45ACP rifles not long ago. I know matching rifle and pistol caliber weapons is popular especially with the lever action crowd and cowboy shooters. I just found the pistol to match my .444 Marlin. I'm not too sure how much fun this baby is to shoot, though.

Yeah, I think that's one 4 too many.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

I have thought it might be fun to have a .45-70 revolver to match a .45-70 rifle, and I have fired such a revolver, and it's not a great idea after all.

Shouldn't this have a lanyard to hang on your neck so you don't have to chase the pistol after it flies out of your hand?

Be sure to let us know how it works for you, if they'll let you use a mobile device from the ER!puma guy wrote:There was a post about .45ACP rifles not long ago. This duo in .444 makes my Winchester lever gun & revolvers in 357 seem very tiny. I'm with the others, let us all know how this monster shoots...

Several do exist as well as at least one revolver in 600 Nitro Express.joe817 wrote:What's next? A BMG .50 cal pistol?
As for the 444 pistol, that looks like fun. I would shoot it.
Re: Matching Rifle and Pistol caliber weapons goes big!
It'd be fun to watch OTHERS shoot the .50 BMG in a handgun.

Haha, very true. I have let a few people shoot my 454 and even that is typically entertaining.Abraham wrote:It'd be fun to watch OTHERS shoot the .50 BMG in a handgun.
