O/U Issue I'm having
Re: O/U Issue I'm having
Thanks for the responses guys. I do have a solid follow through and usually hit with my M2 first shot (I may be stretching the truth) but it could be the whole stock issue. I might just have to keep knocking em dead with my M2 for now! (Well next septermber)
Re: O/U Issue I'm having
Well unfortunately I do have an eye dominance issue. But since I do hit with my M2 I didn't think that was the problem. I am left eye dominant but shoot right handed. I actually got so frustrated one day shooting the Citori I switched hands and knocked down the next bird first shot. So maybe I'm a lefty deep down!?

Re: O/U Issue I'm having
Not exactly Andy. A field grade shotgun is typically a 50/50 pattern gun (HOWEVER - the Italian and some other European guns pattern high because the tradition there is to float the target just over the barrel), a sporting gun will typically pattern 55 or 60 percent high and a trap gun will usually be over that. Some trap guns are made or fitted to place the center of a pattern 9 to 14 inches above the bead. Thus my question earlier about what model OU was being used. Additionally this shooter has to consider the Bennelli use of the stacked beads but on a stepped but flat rib when getting a sight picture - there should be no rib visible in the sight picture - unlike most OUs that have the shooter seeing the stacked beads but on a rib that tapers away from your eye like a highway (i.e. 'broadway' trap guns). Now add in a discussion of what chokes were being employed by the shooter in both of these guns and the eye dominance mentioned and we have a real pickle.AndyC wrote:If you can hit with another shotgun, then you don't have an eye-dominance issue, and you apparently know how to shoot and follow-through. The fit is pretty much all that's reasonably left.
