New Haven 600AT

#1

Post by Gollum86 »

Hello all,

I have an older shotgun I got when I was 11 yrs old (and I got many a rabbit with it in my younger years!). The receiver says "New Haven by Mossberg, 600AT". From all the research I've done it seems to be the same as a Mossberg 500 (12 gauge pump). This has sat for many years and I finally got around to tearing it down, going through it, and giving it a good cleaning. I need to get some parts, and I was looking at Mossberg 500 parts as they look the same, but does anybody here know for sure if they are the same? Like I said, I've researched and I think they're identical but I figured I'd check here first.

Thanks!!

Numrich Arms is good source. They list both Mossberg and New Haven but the only part for a NH 600A is a pistol grip. Give them a call and they may be able to help in cross referencing parts.

Couple things I would switch out since it has been in dry dock for a while is the Mag spring and the top tang safety button.they come with a plastic safety button that are prone to breakage, they make a military Aluminum one that you can trust. As for the Mag spring,Wolff springs is the way to go! ckeck their website they will have the exact spring for your Mossy. They run about ten bucks.Good luck :txflag:Midway is a great parts source.

Ha, the safety button came off in two pieces when I disassembled it so that's definitely on the list. The mag spring was pretty rusty so I was looking at those also. I went ahead and assembled everything (minus a barrel) this weekend just so it was back together and not laying in pieces in the garage.

Thanks for the help.
