What full auto would you consider and why?

I second the recommendation for an HK sear or close second UZI. Both are reliable (if built properly) and cheap to shoot. The UZI is incredibly rugged and functional. The HK platform is just friggin cool. Both are effective and controllable is full auto as well. Both are also quite a bit cheaper to shoot and acquire than an M16 or M14.

I think a full auto UMP would be awesome, but parts availability is scarce same with the KRISS Super-V.

Something in 9mm. They would be affordable to shoot, and can be had in the $5,000 to $10,000 range. Someday I will get a Sten, shot one years ago alongside a Thompson, and thought it to be much easier to control. They can still be had in the above mentioned price range along with the MAC's and Uzi's.

Oh, a Sten. Yeah, that's another one. Or a full auto AK-47. This might be the least expensive of the bunch so far.

If cheaps the issue, I think the Mac series is about the cheapest way to get into the game.

I want the CAR-15 I carried for a while in southeast Asia. It was brand new when it was issued to me and it was sweet - the squadron armorer had a fondness for them and liked to tinker.

A M-16 give you the most flexibility, anything from .22, 9mm, to .223. Uppers are too many to list. This is what I would go with if you have the $10 to $20K to spend.

UZIs are pretty good and built like a brick also giving you the options of 9mm and .22. Wonderful weapons and there are still many part kits out there. There are a few options such as a registered bolt guns or the Victor, which use the

MACs are cheap(er) but are bullet hoses, the .22 conversions are iffy at best.

BARs are super expensive. M2 .50 cal are are also expensive to feed and there are few places to shoot them.

The 10/22 is the great bang for the buck and a lot of fun to shoot.

Thompsons are fun to shoot and are a piece of history, West Hurley's are nice, but not nearly as finely build of the original Thompsons.

AK-47s are wonderful, but over priced, pre-1968 bring backs sell for a premium.

HK Sear can be multiple calibers, but as soon as you remove the sear from one weapon to another it becomes a SBR and requires a $200.00 tax stamp. The original host guns are expensive, but there are clones available out there. Make sure you get a host that runs well, there are some out there with spotty reputations.

One consideration is a FNC. They are a good military grade weapon, but parts are scarce.

Haven't seen anyone mention the M1917 water-cooled .30 cal. yet. Like shooting a water-cooled BAR . . .

Actually, I'd grin at shooting any or all of the one mentioned. Full auto? Whats not to like?

i always have and always will want an FA mp-5sd but if i could only have one full auto weapon i would get a rifle caliber , 5.56 and up

So, are we talking about "full auto I would consider based on my current means?" -or- "full auto I would consider if I was loaded?"

A few years after college I got the full-auto itch and bought a MAC 11-9mm SMG for a $650 or so...it sure seemed pricey to me at the time, but WOW...looking at what that little hunk of metal/bullet hose is worth now, wow, I did good I suppose!

I would like to enter into the belt-fed world someday, but not at current prices. Maybe, just maybe, someday (I know I'm dreaming) NFA will be repealed and you could walk into your local Academy and pick up a GE Minigun....

If I ever entered the FA world I would get a Ruger AC556K. Cheap (as far as FAs go), reliable, proven, and fully warrantied by Ruger if left unmodified.

There are enough AK's around the world (except here of course) to pave a highway to the moon. Can we get one? Not unless your packing (cash that is).

I would love to have an original AK-47, Ma Deuce, and many others. But I'm not Uncle Ted. (I wonder if needs any new friends?)

Thompson. No doubt in my mind the best fully auto weapon ever produced (maybe the vulcan minigun wins this, but yea).

I really want to make a modern materials based thompson. One that has far less muzzle rise, and is integrally suppressed.
