I bought a benelli supersport. I have been just loading them one at a time during skeet. The issue i found when trying to load the magazine; the pivoting peice of metal where the shell loads into tries to pinch my finger. is their anyway around this? im a newbie to shotguns to I dont dought im doing it wrong or somthing.

It has a name....Benelli thumb.
I use a Benelli M1 for 3 gun competition. It is common practice to have the "U shaped" cut-out in the shell lifter welded closed, smoothed and slightly bent.
I can testify that this has solved my Benelli thumb problem.

Do a google search for a guy called CRUMS. He did mine and many others.
Also believe Benny @ Triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus can do the same thing.
