Long Lead Time on AR Kits
I bought a Rock River stripped receiver at the Mesquite guns show a month ago. I finally got the green light from my better half to buy the 16" CAR kit and ordered from Model 1 sales in Whitewright. I spoke to the lady on the phone and she said that they currently have an 18 week lead time delivery. If anyone is looking into a home build you might want to order your parts now as it looks like the wait will only get longer. It's just a matter of time until PBO signs a permanent assault weapons ban.

Have you checked with Military gun Supply in ft. Worth?
I think they have some uppers in stock.

Re: Long Lead Time on AR Kits
I ordered my upper from Model1Sales on December 9. I emailed asking for a status around the first week of January, and they replied 12-14 weeks. I'm hoping they meant from the time I ordered it.

Didn't check with Military Gun Supply. I liked what Model 1 had to offer for the price. The fully assembled upper that's head spaced with a complete lower kit. I ordered the kit that comes with the A2 upper and chrome lined bore and chamber. It'll keep My colt Hbar Target Competition company.
