Cleaning Rods for AK47..are they all compatible?

I have this MAK90 that did not come with a cleaning rod from factory. I want to ad a front sight that have the attachment for it, but what about the rods, are they all the same leght and circumference? Which are compatible with what sights? Thanks for your help.

Im not looking for a universal clening rod, I am looking for the original AK rods that attach rught underneath the barrel, mainly for looks. Thanks any way .

I don't know. I'd suggest either hitting the next gun show, or going to a gun store that deals in a bunch of military surplus type rifles and has alot of milsurp parts. Maybe that will help you out.

I guess I'll wait for a gun show cuz all my shops around here don't carry this stuff. I found a couple online, but don't wanna risk it not being compatible. Thanks

You can clean them? I usually just push a FMJ round after about 500 or so lead rounds

I would have to say they are not universal, The RPK and the NHM-91 probably are longer. I will have to check and see if their is a diffrence when I get off my rearend today.
