I cried for the people who voted just because of the color of a man's skin and not on his agenda.

I cried for the people who voted a person in to office who knows very little about our country.

I cry for my bill of rights and my constitution to be the same in 4 years.

I cannot understand how a person like obama can get elected.

I am not even sure I can put the word President before his last name?

The election of Barack Obama as President and Joe Biden as Vice President was a decisive victory for common sense gun laws.

The Brady Campaign issued a strong endorsement of the ticket in October because of the candidates' strong support of reasonable gun laws. Sarah Brady, Chair of the Brady Campaign, hailed the election as "a good day for people who want to reduce gun violence in America."

The election also represents a critical loss for the National Rifle Association. The gun lobby spent more than $10 million this election cycle, with the largest portion to defeat Obama. They failed. The NRA's scare tactics about gun confiscation no longer works given the decision in the Supreme Court's decision in DC v Heller this June.

Sarah Brady went on to say that the election was "...a bad day for extremists who are stuck in the rhetoric of the past." There is no indication that candidates, at any level, lost their elections because of support of reasonable gun measures.

Americans are a hopeful bunch and it is obvious many are in fact tired of the way things have been going.

We may have very well had a Democratic President whether it was Obama or not.

Senior citizens were the only group whos majority voted for McCain, and even then, only at 52%.

I'm not depressed. I'm way, way past depressed. I'm despondent, heartsick, mortified, embarrassed at the fools our nation carries in its belly like parasites.

Here's a plan. It's not complete but it is a plan.

1) Join any and all gun rights groups that you've been "meaning to" but haven't.

2) Go ahead and buy that gun or guns you've always wanted to but were putting off.

3) Buy extra mags and ammo.

4) Get at least 5 people you know who do not own guns to go shooting with you. (Weather is perfect right now!)

5) Get at least 3 of those people to purchase a gun of their own. Hopefully all your friends aren't crazed felons...

6) Write all your representatives NOW and let them know that you will not stand for ANY infringement of ANY of your rights - especially the 2nd as upheld by the recent Heller decision.

7) Get a reloading press, dies, powder, primers, brass and bullets for at least one cartridge.

8) Try to make sure that every member of your family is a gun owner if at all possible.

9) Shoot competitively at least once, or take an advanced (beyond CHL) training course.

10) DO NOT GIVE ONE MORE INCH AWAY TO THESE LEGISLOOTERS. NOT ONE MORE. THIS IS IT. FIGHT ALL INFRINGEMENTS ON ALL FREEDOMS.

My idea is to build our numbers and support our industry. If we are allowed to fade into a politically unpopular minority, we can kiss it goodbye here and now. Let's make more shooters!!! Upon this, all depends. Do as much of the above as you can!

And it'll give us all something to do besides worry ourselves into knots.

Maybe so........BUT, they will never defeat "The Lord Thy God", or Jesus Christ. I am very sick about the election. But, there has to be a reason...and only God knows what it is. I sure can't figure it out.

There was an internet site some while back that had a survey with McCain blacked out and Obama whited out. The survey results were McCain won hands-down in black communities.

Can't find it anymore, guess the Obamites took it out.

It seems that, back during the Nixon/Kennedy debates in 1960, a curious phenomenon arose. TV was not as prevalent then as it is now, and more people then got their news and political reporting from radio instead of from TV than people do today. People who listened to the Nixon/Kennedy debates on radio rather than watching them on TV had very different perceptions of who won.

Radio listeners overwhelmingly thought that Nixon won the debates. TV watchers overwhelmingly thought that Kennedy won the debates. In the case of the former, the message prevailed over the presentation. In the case of the latter, the presentation prevailed over the message. Marshall McLuhan was absolutely right when he said "the medium is the message." The Kennedy win was fairly tight, and there is evidence to suggest that he won on the back of some voting hankey pankey.

When TV viewers today watched the Obama/McCain debate, I am convinced that most of them were less influenced by the candidates' words than they were by their presentation. Obama looked "hip," and spoke eloquently about hope and change, without ever actually saying anything. Comparatively, McCain looked like a cranky old man, and his message therefore fell on deaf ears. A liberal visual media, for the most part having a stake in the outcome, aided and abetted that impression at every opportunity. The fact that conservative talk radio today is waaaaaaaaaay more popular than liberal talk radio, and the fact that video news reporting favors the liberal cause, prove McLuhan's prescience.

The visual media's stake in the outcome goes beyond the personal preferences of the individuals who write and report the news. Television has a vested interest in wiping out radio as a viable news source. Radio competes for advertising dollars and for audience. In a video age, a true fairness doctrine would require CNN/MSNBC/etc. to put true conservatives on the air - as does Fox News when they give plenty of air time to hard core leftists, particularly once they have succeeded in eliminating radio as a source of conservative thought and insight.

I'm not holding my breath.

I'm stunned that the people of this country would elect someone they really know very little about and that they would accept this state of affairs as willingly as the compliant media. I've heard most Americans are center-right and that most know the media are biased. So why not vote from conviction and awareness, rather than ignorance? Obviously there are reasons or McCain would not have lost. But they escape me. I want to have faith in the voting population, but this time they really let the country down.

I just can not beleive that all these people would even vote for someone, to be the Comander and Chief, when he does not even respect the flag. He would not even wear a US Flag pin on his lapel. And he would not even put his hand over his heart when the National Anthom was played. How can you be Comander and Chief of a Country when you don't respect the Flag that so many men have fought and Died for. And are Fighting and Dieing for That Flag even today.
While a man that has given more for this Flag then most people ever would is left behind... I just don't get it....
