Well, the materials that North Face jackets are made from don't grow on trees or animals, so most likely (nylon, rayon, etc) they're made from petroleum base products. And most aren't made in the USA either, so the company isn't too worried about the oil and gas used in the manufacturing process.

An internet search found this:
"Where are North Face jackets made? The parent company of The North Face, VF Corporation, owns over 30 manufacturing facilities in countries including China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, the United States, and many more. The North Face's Made in USA collection is made entirely in the United States."

Another hypocritical corporation. IMHO.

That's okay Andy. Real Texan's don't get coats from The South Butt anyway. We buy our winter clothing from Tractor Supply and brands like Carhart.

Obviously, the North Face is a hypocritical company. They use derivatives of oil and gas in their products, but don't sell to oil & gas companies. I just sent them an email saying I will never purchase a North Face product ever again.

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Innovex Downhole Solutions says it was recently denied an order of jackets by The North Face, a popular outdoor recreation company because they are in the oil and gas business.

I was about to order a coat for winter but now I'll go elsewhere - especially after looking into this and seeing they're massive BLM supporters, too. I wonder how they manufacture their coats without using oil or gas services or byproducts...

So while back when I did a lot of backpacking, I was a NorthFace guy.

They were a California based Company. CEO decided to move the whole company to Aspen Colorado.

Companies stock took a nose dive from about 15 to 2 when it was sold in a fire sale to Vanity Fair.

In the old days it was all about performance. They didn't even make cotton shirts. (you can get hypothermia in a cotton shirt)

Now its all about fashion. Performance is a side business.

They are not the Brand they once were.

A real shame.

Patagonia is just as political.

If only their material suppliers would deny them products sending them out of business.

If we could somehow organize exactly that campaign, this stuff would stop in its tracks. What I fear is that the"agenda" is going to continue to single out businesses. I swear that the intent is to completely wreck our economy.

Never heard of them. Growing up in south Texas there was no need for that stuff.
