I think I'm putting my 401 into fixed interest until after this election. Things may get interesting in November.

Last time I did that I missed a 12% move up.

The Atlantic version listed in the OP is a wonderful display of psychosis in print form. Dismiss the kids before you decide to read that one, unless you want them to learn a whole bunch of new potty words.

I'm thinking some strategically placed nukes along the San Andreas and make it a forced seperation!

Current election system all wrong because the Dems lost in 2000 and 2016.

For all ceaseless calling President Trump a dictator...it sure seems the Dems want a dictator...just one they control.

Here's a thought Dims...abandon the far left socialists/anarchists/deviants and move your party's platform to one that Americans can agree to support, that's how elections work.

How about instead of two political parties we have people who want the country to be better than it is?

:iagree: I'm convinced that the Democratic party's love affair with China is due, in large measure to their envy of not having to have "real" elections. If they disband the Electoral College and nothing changes in the cities, they will pretty much have that. I'll take one more step with my conspiracy theory hat on and say that the lockdown orders are preparing the public for them passing the Electoral College removal through Congressional action only, without a Constitutional Amendment.

Great idea -- but it'll never fly with the two entrenched political parties. Too bad there isn't a compelling third party choice for truly Constitutionally-limited Government, fiscal responsibility and individual Liberty, that stands a chance of getting past the two-party roadblocks.

the Atlantic version.
The Bush administration helped the Obama administration to be ready on day one. The Trump administration may not return that courtesy.
The outgoing Clinton administration behaved toward Bush exactly the same way that The Atlantic hypothesizes that the outgoing Trump administration would do to an incoming Biden administration. They sabotaged White House computer keyboards. They (Hillary, specifically) crated up and removed items which belonged in the White House. Etc., etc., etc.

I don’t honestly see Trump's team being that petty, but who knows. What I DO know is that liberals learn these tricks from the grifters on their own side, because I have yet to see any reports of an outgoing Republican president stealing or sabotaging anything in the White House, the way the outgoing Clinton team did.

I get the West Coast secession scenario, but why would there then be a civil war? Let them go. Liberals from other major cities could move to the new "Peoples Socialist Republik of Kalifornia" so they wouldn't even need a patchwork of territory scattered about.

I recommend the book "People's Republic" by Kurt Schlicter. It is one person's imaginary view (though heavily biased) of that exact scenario.

I don't think that the powers behind all of the violence and division have any intention of breaking up the country. Their goal is political power over ALL of us and their tactics are a means of getting there. They are trying to marginalize and eliminate the opposition. And, until President Trump, were doing a heck of a job of it.
