Senate votes to continue endless war in Afghanistan

Vote 60-33 to table amendment to Defense Appropriation Bill for 2021 to withdraw all US Armed Forces from Afghanistan.

Wait, I’m bit foggy on this maybe but I thought this was to withdraw all United States Armed Forces from Afghanistan and they got more yay’s, so withdraw?

I think there has to be a 2/3 majority; i.e., 67 yay votes.

Defense contractors mean more to Senators than American lives. I am so sick and tired of our government and the paid politicians I could just scream.

The vote was to table the amendment to withdraw the troops, not for/against the amendment. Which in non-DC language means “against” it.
