Finally, with the misadventures of Karen, the happiest people are named "Lisa" Anyone that grew up in the 80's would understand.

From my understanding a "Karen" is a woman who complains about minor things, especially in a restaurant or retail setting. I think this applies to pretty much every woman I have ever known (and a fair amount of men). With my current wife, her acceptance rate on the first table we are shown at a restaurant is about 65%, so every third time we go to sit down, she asks to sit somewhere else. Similar thing (though not as common) for hotel rooms.
I think that makes her a "Karen", although I am not near dumb enough to tell her that

Hmmm. Not liking where we have been sat at a restaurant. Not enough ice in soft drink. Won’t eat at McDonalds, Burger King, Wendies on a roadtrip. Steak always too red in middle. Tomatoes in the salad. AC blows on this table, too cold in the restaurant. Pepsi and Coke aren’t working, we have to leave.

My mother on the other hand is a one woman tornado. She starts out by complaining about the table location and then commences to telling them how to make her food. She just can't order off the darned menu. Then she runs the waitress like a paid servant. I always end up tipping like 40% to make up for it. I have watched my mother send back fried egs as many as four times because they are not just perfect. I am pretty sure she is a "Karen".

I use to tell the guys at my F.D. the worst the Chief can do is fire you, the Admin Secretary she can make it so you won't see a check for Weeks! Don't make her mad!
