I guess I am out of touch, but had no idea who Ed Sheeran was/is, so neither the imposter nor the real one could convince me to let him sing in front of my cats for free, never mind anywhere else.
But innertoob search says real Ed looks like this:

Couldn't they tell from the eye test?
I have no idea who Ed is, not a clue.
Last night on late night TV there was a boy band from Korea called BLT.
They were dancing in an empty Grand Central Station.
I had no idea who they were either. They are blowing up the internet.
I was just getting where I could recognize stuff that was popular in 2000, and some one said "that's like 20 years old".

I am getting where I take them saying "OK, boomer" as a compliment.

I’m amazed that prisons still issue stripped garments. They still use a ball & chain too?

Ed Sheeran's name would've had no relevance for me if I hadn't watched "Yesterday" a couple of days prior to your post. I only know he's a singer that is quite popular in England. Who would've thought someone in Ohio could pull off a scam such as this.
