I don’t get into soccer much, but I know who this guy is. He plays for Real Madrid and is a big deal.
In 2014 he was asked for some memorablilia because a charity auction was being held to raise money to pay for this babies surgury.
Renaldo paid the entire $83,000.
This came across redit today is why I’m posting an old story.
It was a very nice gesture.
So this kid must of been from the US and his parents had no Obamacare yet. Story doesn’t say. Conveniently left off where the baby is from. I looked it up baby is from Spain. But doesn’t Spain have like free heath care, cause they are a socialist utopia? Yes they do.
“The Spanish National Healthcare System ("Instituto Nacional de la Salud"), founded on Spain's General Healthcare Act of 1986, guarantees universal coverage and free healthcare access to all Spanish nationals, regardless of economic situation or participation in the social security network.”
Little boy is apparently doing well.
Surgery was in US because Spain could do it?
I couldn’t find any other information.
Seems odd.
