An Arlington patrolman shot at a charging dog while checking on a woman who was described as homeless killing the woman. She is the daughter of an Arlington FD Captain. The woman was in direct line of fire and the officer was aware of her location since he called out to her. I don't think I'd have taken that shot. Just me, though.

Care to edit that sentax?... It doesn't seem to make sense.

He must of had an offer fear of dogs. The dog was coming at him, but not close. Maybe if he would have stepped to the side or waited for the dog to get closer the lady would not have been hit.
He definitely wasn’t thinking of what was behind his target. Praying for all involved.
