There's a good documentary on Prime Video titled "The Ghost Army." It's about the U.S. Army's 23rd Headquarters Special Troops during WWII. Their deception was amazing! If you have Amazon Prime, then you have Prime Video.

I just had a chance to watch the film and was not aware of the Ghost Army. That was way cool

Me too! I love learning more about WWII history.

This was good. I knew about the fake army for Patton prior to D-Day to mislead the Germans. Didn't realize how much more they did.

Classic story! Seems that there was so much WW2 history that has only been disclosed in recent decades.

Me too. I didn't know there was a special group or how involved they were in other operations.

I found that video awhile back. It is good, be sure to watch it.

Watched it last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew this tactic was used to deceive before D-Day, but had no idea the extent it was used during the war in Europe and that their was such a large group of service men dedicated to the effort. I don't want to hijack the thread by posting the link, but there's a great WWII documentary by William Wyler about the B-24 titled "The Cold Blue" on HBO. He went on to direct "The Memphis Belle" many years later.

Have seen "The Cold Blue" It is actually about B-17's; not B-24's.

You're correct, I actually saw it before HBO scheduled it when it was in limited release in theaters, but I don't know why I said B-24's. I remember they mentioned that some 28M plus 8th Air Force airmen died, more than the Marine Corps loss which was 24M. Maybe that stuck in my mind.
