The article says it showed positive once and negative once. My bet is that it is a false alarm. I was surprised to learn they have a machine that monitors for these things.

I remember the security at Enron back in the day. Lunch time pizza delivery guys pizza box went through X-ray.

But yeah how do you detect for Sarin. I thought it was a gas anyway.

A quick search says it's actually a liquid. How effective it is by touching paper soaked in it I don't know. As to testing positive and then negative. Comedian Jeff Dunham joked that he set off the machine at an airport for plastic explosives once with hand lotion.

Liquids have a vapor pressure so the gas they give off [vapor] can be detected.
There are also instruments that will detect gases given off by explosives and other organic compounds.
When analyzing low levels of compounds false positives can be common.
My sister worked for a company in Silicon Valley that developed these types of instruments for rapidly screening packages such as luggage at an airport.
Knowing the personality of the FB CEO, I would think that they have the best instruments available.

Zuckerberg is well aware that he's not well liked, either internally, or by the public. People who spy on others are naturally paranoid. Zuckerberg spies on over a billion people, and his company has abused—more than once—the trust people put in his product. How paranoid do you think that makes him feel? I have the Facebook app on my iPad, but I refuse to put it on my phone, exactly because I don’t want facebook to follow me around, and listen to my private offline conversations..

Just because your paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!
Sorry but Zuckerberg called fire down on his own position! It's not right or legal for anybody to try and poison somebody like that but I have a feeling this will come around and prove to be a loony leftist!
Government, like fire is a dangerous servant and a fearful master
If you ain't paranoid you ain't paying attention
Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war let it begin here- John Parker
