I’m blessed this Father’s Day to have my daughter, son in law and grandson visiting from St. Louis, Missouri, as well as my step daughter and son in law visiting from Austin.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

My son gave me a bottle of Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon yesterday. It’s gonna be a great Father’s Day, although I’m not sure I’ll be able to remember it.

This morning I opened my bedroom door to find a long piece of duct tape taped to the top of my doorway, with a Father's day card dangling from the bottom of it. The envelope, in large letters, said "Wakey Wakey!"

The card had a button on it. Push it and on the cover, the '32 Ford hot rod, in 3D, made engine noises, and jiggled the engine on its motor mounts. Pretty neat.

What made this even more special is that my son never remembers any family birthdays, Mother's Day, or usually Father's Day. This year he remembered with no mention of it by me! Oh, and my gifts: a smoothie and a shrimp platter in the fridge since he says I'm hard to shop for. That was thinking out of the box. :-)

Love......it's what makes the world go round, whether it's your spouse, or your child(ren).
