It's incredible how these organizations allow themselves to be infiltrated and brought down like this. I guess "the normies" are too passive and naive to stave this off?

Check off another formerly family oriented organization brought down by the progressive socialists. Satan must be so proud of his people.

I predicted this, and said as much the the BSA president, when my son was in Scouts. Caving to political correctness, was going to be the downfall. A once proud institution, that stood for the betterment, of young men, allowed itself, to be dragged down, by outside pressure, from groups, who's only goal was it's destruction. I am proud of the years I spent in Boy Scouts, as a boy, and later, as an assistant Cub Master, Webelos leader, and Troop Chaplain. My son is an Eagle Scout, but it's sad, that if he has sons, they won't have that chance.

Boy Scouts leadership has hired the law firm Sidley Austin LLP for possible chapter 11 bankruptcy filing assistance, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal.
According to the newspaper, filing for bankruptcy would halt the many lawsuits the organization faces alleging inappropriate conduct by employees.

The statement acknowledged legal costs related to lawsuits against BSA alleging sexual or inappropriate conduct with boys.
"We believe (victims), we believe in fairly compensating them and we have paid for unlimited counseling, by a provider of their choice, regardless of the amount of time that has passed since an instance of abuse," the statement said.

This disappoints me immensely. I have many great memories in the BSA. To see this once great organization brought to its knees by progressives is a wrong I will not easily forget.

I can understand if your business is one that caters to the sjw type why you would have policies they like. However if you are a business or organization that doesn't why would you care? If 0.01% of your audience/customers are for something and the rest are against it then it is logical you are going to cease to exist. The far left sjw types didn't want to join the boyscouts outside that 0.01%, so changing policies for them isn't going to bring in huge numbers of people, certainly not enough to make up for those that will leave.

Wall Street Journal also discussed this and I am a big fan of the Boy Scouts but the reason that they may be facing bankruptcy is declining numbers as well as lawsuits from sexual abuse allegations. The lawsuits are probably the main reason.

When they left their long held principles , many Church's stopped hosting troops and LDS church started their own program and Southern Baptist either put more money and people in to their Missions program that was modeled after the BSA .Or they started this new program started by many old school Scout leaders.

It doesn't help they're being sued by the Girl Scouts for letting girls join.

The Girl Scouts of the United States of America filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America on Tuesday, after the Boy Scouts decided to drop “Boy” from its namesake program and start welcoming older girls.

I hope the same thing happens to the AARP. Their political agenda turned me off to them a long time ago.
