Things have been getting dicey on the border again and I'm guessing this will get zero national coverage. Stay out of Mexico if possible and keep alert.

I never had a reason to investigate Juarez. However, when the Army National Guard put me back on active duty in 2004, I ran IT for the Texas Joint Counter Drug Taskforce. I read the daily briefings. Scary.

Yeah, I read their articles also. My wife has family in Mexico that we haven’t visited in many years because of the crime and violence. It’s a shame, too, because although they have humble little family ranch down there, it’s in a scenic, high plains desert area with horses and cows, nice trails and awesome food.ELB wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 3:26 pm This site keeps tabs on happenings in Mexico: http://www.borderlandbeat.com/
Grim reading.
