Great post and links.

The Texas Penal Code 42.02 defines "Riot" as an assemblage of 7 or more.
I always heard that the number was significant, because Texas Rangers carried 6 shooters. Anything over 6 people, and he would need more help.

I don't know how I missed this, but it and Mr. Webb have made my day.

But didn't the Lone Ranger wear TWO six shooters, one on each hip?

Unless it's "Walker, Texas Ranger", then he can handle four riots - one with each hand and foot.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager
