These are some extreme closeup photographs of a wolf spider I took. At first it had an egg sack that it was carrying around. It dropped it once it got spooked.
I'm fairly certain the red parts on both sides are fangs or part of her mandibles.
Nice shots.

Interesting photos. They would freak my sister out. And one of her sons, who inherited the arachnophobia gene from her... She would probably use that "spider rifle" on the photos as well as the spiders.

The spider the spider rifle sucked up looked like a crab spider.
These are little guys, but I wonder how well it would suck up a big spider?
