Extreme macro shot of a wolf spider
These are some extreme closeup photographs of a wolf spider I took. At first it had an egg sack that it was carrying around. It dropped it once it got spooked.

I'm fairly certain the red parts on both sides are fangs or part of her mandibles.

Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

Interesting photos. They would freak my sister out. And one of her sons, who inherited the arachnophobia gene from her... She would probably use that "spider rifle" on the photos as well as the spiders.
