Noah

Got 73 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Theatre was full.

The reviewers must have seen a different movie.

Seeing the animals coming to the ark was the best part.

Other than the ark, flood, animals and the names of the Noah and his sons, it is nothing like the Bible.

Spoiler

At the climatic end Noah attempts to kill his twin baby grandchildren, so the human race will die out.

In the movie, only one son has a wife, other two sons are out of luck.

Bible has all three sons with wives and God tells them to be fruitful and populate the earth.

Ark ends up in Hawaii.

Well, the director is an atheist so can't say I'm surprised. Don't plan on seeing it personally.

Ditto on not planning to see it. EVER
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

When the movie was first announced our church bought out a theater for a showing as a treat for our volunteers. After seeing the reviews we have made arrangements to switch movies to "God's Not Dead". The Hollywood critics have given a single star so I'm sure we will enjoy it.

A long time ago I liked Russel Crowe as an actor, but then he supported bambam and that kind of ruined it for me. I'll wait to see Noah until it comes out on DVD and then I'll buy a used one from Half Price Books or on eBay.

I don't consider myself a highly religious man, in that I'm not much of a church-goer. However, I refuse to give my money to anyone who would manipulate and ruin a Biblical story in such a manner.

Glenn Beck's review: http://www.glennbeck.com/2014/03/24/bab ... ing-in-la/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He calls it "Babylonian Chainsaw Massacre". In case you don't want to watch the whole review, which goes on for nearly 20 minutes - here's a hint: I think he uses the word "horrible" about 50 times. Maybe more. He did say "no redeeming value" more than once, as well.

I'm thinking maybe I won't waste my money on this one.

Ha! I don't to to movie theaters anymore. What utter nonesense. All thre boys had wives when they went on the arc, and it was not Noah's job to rid the world of humanity. What insanity. His job was to build the arc. That's it. Build the big boat, lay in the the feed for the animals. The rest of what happened is on God's shoulders. Oh and seal it with pitch. Sigh.....sad cause one of my fav young actresses is Emma Watson and she I think was Shems wife.

Ok, sorry I there was three more things like the bible. There was plenty of pitch on the wood. Fountains did spring up around the ark. They did send out birds to see if there was land. Ok fourth thing. Noah got drunk and his sons covered his nakedness (Hollywood was not going to pass up on that one)

Did I mention that rock men built the ark. Yes that's right, rock men, big boulders connected together to make a thing with two legs, two arms, a body and a head. Supposedly fallen angels.

Emma Watson is pretty, Jennifer Connolly is pretty. Ray Winstone as the evil king is good. BTW he sneaks aboard the ark and plots with Ham to kill Noah. This is right before Noah tries to kill his twin baby granddaughters.

Oh, I see what is going on here. The wacko fringe of the liberal greenie movement considers the human race to be a disease on "Mother Earth". "The environment would be more pristine if human beings had never existed" meme.

If someone truly felt this way wouldn't they be compelled to kill themselves?

If one thought logically, sure. But the pretentious, self-important greenie wacko fringe views it as they cannot kill themselves because they have an important job to complete trying to kill the rest of us first.
