Why Do So Many Repost The Original Post?

I can at times understand the re-posting of an original post with an accompanying response, but most of the time re-posting the original isn't necessary.

If a question is asked, why isn't a simple answer adequate? Most especially if the response is immediately responded to after the question.

I also see multiple re-posts ad nauseam in a single response.

Why do this?

Very few times do I see such re-posting help clarify, if anything, re-posting wily nily seems to muddy things up.

Rant off.

To make sure all understand to whom the response is directed.

It appears we have a bad case of cabin fever going around.

You guys go back to your rooms and quit picking on each other! The ice will melt soon enough, and you can go back outside to play!

Unrestrained re-posting waste's bandwidth, increases storage need and from what I understand, probably increases site cost, along with being generally unnecessary.

It's become so prevalent people can't understand not re-posting, when all you have to do is include the name of the person the message is being directed to.

But, for some apparently, that's to easy...

Crossfire,

If you think I'm being picked on, I don't feel picked on. I'm laughing too.

Of course, maybe the guilty re-posters feel embarrassed and feel picked on for their actions. I dunno...

And since we're on the subject, is their any way I can enlist you to help slow the unbridled (I love that word) re-posting nonsense, that people now feel absolutely necessary with every post?

Or, should I follow suit and re-post everything too, before I respond with my actual post?

Thanks!

"Too easy" not "to easy"
Now back to my room before Crossfire catches me.

No, apparently not.
