About fell out of my seat when the preacher who has known the bride since she was a child turned to the groom and said, "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the conflict of marriage."

That's great. Anyone else got some wedding funnies? At ours, my wife said, "for butter or worse."

I remember one episode of the Cosby Show, bill told his wife, "I hate funerals". She said, "it's a WEDDING!!" He said, "well, it's the death of two single people."

That reminds me of Seminary.
We were told when speaking and forgetting what we was going to say, just quote Scriptures. I was told that a preacher was performing a wedding and forget the vows and quoted
Luke 23:34 in part,
"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
I will be using the OP in my next wedding.

Living in California, when you get an invitation to a wedding, you're just happy there IS a wedding, that there is only one bride, and you can tell which one it is.

I remember the priest talking how safe he was during our ceremony with dozens of leos present.
When a partner of ours getting married we wrote "Dial 911" on the bottom of his shoes, so when he was kneeling to pray it showed.

When a buddy of mine got married a few years back, his father told him, "Son, just remember: you can be right, or you can be happy. You can't be both."

I was a little nervous. I managed to put her ring on the wrong hand. Also, our preacher did not think it was necessary to have a "kiss" included in the ceremony.
I wasn't going to have any of that. Unfortunately I jumped the gun a little too early...
So we ended up with two kisses.
20 years! She's still puttin' up with me.

I joked for years that I wanted "Under My Thumb" by the Stones playing when I walked out. Mentioned it to my now wife. She thought it was hilarious. Everyone at the ceremony apparently did too, cause they all burst into laughter and applauded.

Some of the best advice
EVER. I've regretted not doing that many times.
