TSA Replacing body scanners at some airports

The federal government is quietly removing full-body X-ray scanners from seven major airports and replacing them with a different type of machine that produces a cartoon-like outline instead of the naked images that have been compared to a virtual strip search.

Yeah, when I flew out of O'Hare last week, I noticed the new scanner.

When I went through, the guy wanted to pat my shirt pocket near my heart for any object. I turned around and saw the scanner looked like the below with a yellow box over my heart.

I have a few questions about these "scanners".

#1 Is there still an image being generated of my naked body, some place some where.....if so it is still an illegal strip search in my view and unacceptable. So lets say that it passes that sniff test....that no there is no image generated of my or my daughters naked body anywhere.

#2 What are they using to scan peoples bodies and is it harmful in any way. We know that radiation is bad bad bad, and the whole body scanners are even worse then normal because they concentrate the radiation on the skin. So if they are not using radiation what are they using?

#3 Are they still assaulting peoples private parts with no cause whatsoever....

#4 Are they still assaulting the handicapped and the elderly by breaking colostomy bags and peeling back bandages on cancer patients?

I suspect all these answers will not be satisfactorally answered. So I say NOT GOOD ENOUGH. The TSA needs to go.

When I see the TSA start taking responsiblity for the things their employees do on a regular basis and start treating people as if they were human and not cattle I MIGHT think about flying commercial again. Until them Delta can find themselves another family to fly.

To a christless eternity if I had my way (at least the leaders of the TSA).

If we want real security in this country we are going to have to leave it to the carriers, and the markets. You don't like how Delta treated you, go with Jet Blue next time. Additionally giving the TSA nearly carte blanche in dealing with citizens has been terrible. The TSA can do ANYTHING to a person short of murder and get away with it because of "secret protocal". UNACCEPTABLE. If they had to be liable for every colostomy bag they broke and every time they assaulted a person I am betting they would be much more careful and much more courteous.

When I travel I go early and request for a manual search because those body scanners still give out an extreme amount of radiation that a human body shouldn't some in contact with. I have to argue each time but I'm not going through those things, ever. But I'm always prepared to do the strip down.
