Any and all helpful pointers, tips, and advice would be appreciated. Anything from how to deal with dirty diapers, how to handle the wife when she gets "pregnant" I mean any and ALL advice would be helpful.

I'm a little confused. Is she or isn't she already pregnant?
Do what you can to help.
Stock up on 5 hour energy drinks. Pomegranate is my favorite.
Tell her you love her and how beautiful she is at least once a day.
Do not criticize!!! But, it depends on your relationship. Luckily for me, my wife has a terrible memory and I've always been honest with her, so it is no surprise to her if I tell her something doesn't look good on her or she's having a bad hair day.
20 years plus and still going strong. Oh, and BTW, still learning every day.
Congratulations!!!!!

Stock up on zip lock baggies, a lot of them.
Diaper genies are great things but not always around. You get one of those dirty diapers, especially if the little one is on anti biotics, that verges on containment failure and you need something more to keep the air breathable. A zip lock baggy works wonders, especially If your out on a hot Texas day.
My youngest is 9, playing football and baseball, it's all worth it.

All I can say is, your life is about to be rocked! Congratulations.
Asking me for advice with women--pregnant or not--would be about the same as asking me how to design a nuclear power plant.

Its great! My boy is 7 months old and its been a roller coaster. You have to be prepared for irrational conversations and complaints. Keep it to yourself if you are "right." Do you guys have a plan for birthing? Hospital, natural, birthing center, home birth, mid wife? We did the Bradley Method Classes which is where the husband is like a "coach" partner and focuses on relaxation and pain management rather than breathing like lamaz method.
I'm going to say this, because it was on my mind when we found out, but just because she's pregnant and even late into the pregnancy, you don't have to stop "practicing" at making babies. Its totally safe to do it, and sometimes the libido is effected in a positive manner by those hormones (and sometimes in a negative).
She may get this advice, but I will share it because it was such a help to my wife. For after the birth stock up on extra thick feminine pads, pour some water on each one, stack them up, pop them in the freezer, buy some tucks pads too. Then when she gets home "that area" will be in pain, so pull a frozen pad out, line the pad with tucks, and it apparently helps a TON with the pain (its like an icepack specially designed for that area, and because they are pads they are designed to soak up liquid which will also be leaking after the birth...).
Change diapers as often as possible. If she is breastfeeding that means she will be changing twice as many or more as you are so every one you volunteer to do will be to your credit.
Diaper genie has been working like a champ for us. For on the go changes they actually make little scented baggies that look like dog poop pickup bags to put the diaper in, tie it off, and throw it away. If you are on the go and the diaper gets put into the trunk try very hard to remember its there... I've forgotten a couple times.
Also, we did a natural birthing, at a birthing center, with midwife, been breastfeeding, and used the Bradley method. So if you have questions about any of that send me a PM I can share our experience with it.

She is already pregnant. She was standing over my shoulder last night when I was typing so I had to word it correctly.

Look at this well informed man we have here.
Didn't know that about the pads and liners. Thanks for the heads up. As far as birthing we are going to use a mid-wife just like you and your wife did. Congratulations! We did some research and Hospitals/OBGYN aren't as appealing anymore. Not saying if needed we wouldn't consider them but not for our first option.
Thank you for everything.

Mid-wives are wonderful! I have birthed four times, twice with ob's (terrible!), twice with midwives (as good as a birth can get). Be patient, be supportive. Try not to say stupid stuff.

But this is really difficult for us, it sounds good coming out of our mouth. Its only when we see the look on her face
that we realize
oh crud! what did I just say!?

Just do what i did, get her pregnant. Hang about a month, go to sea for 7 and pop back a month before due. Also works great for moving house!
Your life as you know it is over but in a really good way. Don't buy too many baby gadgets (mankind seems to have managed fairly well so far!) or clothes. They go through them too quick, hand me downs from other friends who have kids are great. Pampers are the best diapers. Sign up to amazon mom, get discounts and delivered to your door. We use it for baby wipes, diaper genie refills and diapers. You can set up for regular delivers, change or cancel orders at anytime. Buy a good push chair with big wheels for walking/trails and a good car seat. Get a decent baby monItor and get them into their own room as quickly as you can, works out better for everyone. 2 months worked really well for us. To be honest babies are kind of boring for dads until they start interacting!
Sit back enjoy and don't worry about the small things.
