Wow. I could easily see my own dad putting a couple of rounds through my laptop.. so I won't comment for that. The daughter was definitely wrong..and she doesn't deserve her laptop.

The dad made gun owners look bad by posting this online with his "exploding hollowpoints" though.. that annoys me a little bit.

Such a waste. Reformatting the hard drive would have been better and saved a perfectly good computer.

He used a .45. It was a 1911. He shot a PC. I don't see where he did anything wrong here.

We talk about anger management, safety, and other commonsense issues when it comes to firearms... and he did nothing wrong? I hope that was meant to be a joke.

Your right. PC's are garbage. I'm currently typing from a toshiba laptop. I can not wait for it to die so I can go buy a macbook, and be done with it. TAM, if you'll go half'ers on the new macbook, I'll let you shoot a few holes in mine with your choice of your 1911's.. and i'll record it with my iPhone.

Of course it was a joke. We are allowed to joke a bit now and then, even about guns. And who here who has had a teenager hasn't wanted to shuffle of his mortal coil for him at least once before he left home? I know I sure did.....and I love my son and he was a pretty good kid growing up.

Wrong? No, not really. Unwise to post such a video online? An innapropriate way to handle the situation? That is another matter but I don't see anything WRONG with the man choosing to use his personal property as a target.

I just watched the full length YouTube video. This irresponsible, disrespectful, immature little {girl} surely does make a mockery of the 10 year old daughter rule along with everything else we expect from our home life.

My hat is off to her father and best wishes to both parents.

I wish he wasn't holding a cigarette during the video.

I have absolutely now problem with what he did, but I think planting a double-bit axe in the laptop would have had a much more dramatic effect than the bullet holes.
