Rep. Ron Paul opposed to raid on Bin Laden's compound

It's so embarrassing that this nut job is my Congressman! Too bad he's unbeatable in this District. He's going to collect a ton of money claiming to run for President, then he'll sit back and accomplish absolutely nothing as he always does. If he is really stupid enough to believe the Pakistani government would have turned him over to the U.S., then he's too gullible to even be a Congressman, much less President.

I don't know that he's unbeatable. Saying you opposed the killing of the most evil man in the world who was responsible for the deaths of nearly 3000 Americans seems like it would be career suicide. I got an idea Charles, how about you run... I'm not in your district however I would support your election.

These 'nut jobs' don't elect themselves. They're elected and then re-elected by the majority vote of the 'nut jobs' in their various districts...all across the country. Speaking of Pauls, does the acorn fall far from the tree...just askin'?

I like his Libertarian viewpoint, but would never vote for him... Because he's waaaaay off base with things like this.
IMO, we're better for having folks like him in the mix, just don't leave him in charge of the asylum.

I sure hope so!! Perhaps there was a strong wind when the acorn fell.

I don't know about "never", but yeah, I'm starting to remember why I didn't vote for him in the last election. IMHO, his libertarian views are essential to the federal government, which makes the whole thing incredibly frustrating to me.

This guy keeps getting reelected because people don't take the time to see what he really stands for and how little he's done. He creates a few sound bites that sound appealing (even to me), but that doesn't reveal the real Ron Paul. The last time he "ran" for President, he collected so much money on the Internet from people outside of Texas that he'll never need to raise another nickle for all of his future campaigns.

I've heard that Rand is just like Ron, except without the crazy. I have not looked into it myself, though. Come to think of it, I think I might've gotten that impression from something someone said here.

Rand Paul seems far more rational than his pop. He's been a strong Tea Party candidate. I don't think that most Tea Partiers take Ron Paul seriously.... other than as a general pain.

When Paul talks about economic issues, he says some very good things. He gets onto other issues though and says some crazy thinks. He may be the one Republican candidate that if the nominee would force me to sit out the 2012 election.

Yeah - I think that's what Chas is getting at - all he does is say some agreeable rhetoric. He doesn't ever do anything.
I think someone wiser than I once said "show me your faith without works, and I'll show you my faith by what I do." That is how I judge elected officers, by what their track record shows, not what they say. I find it easier to identify propaganda vs facts.

I like Ron Paul as well, his son is my U.S. Senator.
