Mods: This is the first time I've done this here, so please let me know if this post needs to be changed.

What to say? I'm so pleased that we have our group here who take the time to think about legalities and how they affect others. I thank God for caring, respectful citizens, and pray our country will soon come back to sanity.
EAGLE, Colorado — A financial manager for wealthy clients will not face felony charges for a hit-and-run because it could jeopardize his job, prosecutors said Thursday.

Old school journalists would have investigated and found out who he paid off.

Shocking story ... Equal justice for all ... going, going, gone. When our society starts caring more about money than God's law it's not going to be pretty. Just one more comment: I suspect that a bicyclist was hit played a role in this sad affair.

Interesting thought. I do hesitate to ride bicycles around here just because of having to share the road with so many speeding cars. May be the reason that so many bicyclists here tend to ignore the laws as well: They have an incentive to do so.

But, since this driver reportedly "veered off the road," the bicyclist seems to have been riding properly. I believe the Denver area is appreciative of bicyclists as well.

Whatever the paper is trying to paint it, it isn't a class warfare thing. And I quote:
Martin Joel Erzinger, 52, faces two misdemeanor traffic charges stemming from a July 3 incident when he allegedly hit bicyclist Dr. Steven Milo from behind then sped away, according to court documents.

{snip}

Milo, 34, is a physician living in New York City with his wife and two children, where he is still recovering from his injuries, court records show.
Putting this in perspective... The victim is a New York doctor who earns enough money to vacation with his family in Vail, Colorado. Not that there's anything particularly wrong with that, but this is really about one very wealthy man's shoddy treatment of another less wealthy man. That doesn't make Erzinger's behavior any less egregious, but it isn't class warfare.

That said, I would never let someone who manifests the personal ethics of a Ferengi handle my money. Doesn't matter if they charge this guy with a felony or not. His business will be affected.

Remember the Golden Rule:

Do unto others as you would have them...................

Oops, I forgot this has changed it should now be: He who has the gold rules! :mad5

Or, "Do unto others before they do it to you", which is bad, too, except in the context of chasing down jihadists before they can do it to us again.
