my neighbor is a sex offender... *update in op*

i always knew my neighbor wasnt the best person. we're 99.9% sure he deals some sort of drugs and we know that he's a wanted man, but i just looked up his name in the state sex offender database and found that he served 15 years and its a mandatory condition of his supervision. what does that mean? if he had to register as a condition of supervision the crime or crimes he committed must have been sexual of some nature right?

*update*
they're gone! They moved out a few weeks ago and we're thinking of buying the place to keep anyone else from renting it. My girlfriends parents have wanted this place for years but the landlord wants to try to rent it out before he sells it. Problem is, everyone that comes to look at it leaves faster than they came. Good! It's been quiet and i like that.

You are right. The DPS sex offender database has a place where you can see what he was convicted of. Touch base with your local LE agency and verify he's registered at the address he's living at. Also, if you suspect he's doing illegal things he's in violation of his parole and most agencies will be more than happy to put him back where he belongs.

A good friend of mine is the Sex Offender officer for a local PD she gets a great sense of satisfaction in doing her job well from sending a sex offender back to prison.

The Sex offender registry should list his current "reported" address as well as have a relatively current photo.

That's a pretty bold statement. Have you seen him deal drugs or have you bought drugs from him? Those would be the only two ways to be "99.9%" sure.

Tell the cops where he lives if he's wanted by them and not wanted by you as a neighbor.

As long as he's not selling food after midnight to young women in a Mustang convertable.

They don't have police powers. Besides, they're too busy confiscating homes with unmowed lawns.
This will only hurt a little. What comes next, more so.

cars in and out at all hours, constantly drunk, and talks to invisible people..... he has no job and always has money for the things he needs(beer and drugs).

the police came looking for him one day while i was asleep. my girlfriend didnt know his name at the time so she told them that she didnt know him which is technically the truth. later we left to go eat and she was telling me about it and there he was sitting on his porch drinking. the officer had went to the door and knocked for a few minutes and finally someone answered and said he wasnt there but he actually was. i've already talked to the police chief and he knows about it. i also told him that his officers need to do a better job.

I could have ben accused, arrested, convicted and had the lifelong stench of a sex offender.

With unsubstanted accustions, combined with the aggressive mindset of social services, and the lack of finances to defend against such charges, some Dads
could be in deep Kim-Chee.

As a kid/young adult of 18, I did not dwell too long on birth date if my my date was anxious to frolic around in the back seat of my '53 Studebaker. The Forrest Hills Drive In Theatre in Augusta, Georgia was, most likely, the crime scene of more than one or two illegal activities. Then there was 'parking' and watching the 'submarine races' at the lake also. Tough to keep the 'skeeters out of the car and provide some privacy at the same time. On most rows of the Drive Inn, lots of condensate fogged up the windows.

Standards change.

That said, some guys should be kicked like a egg sucking dog, hung high, buried deep, stomp on their grave, and kick over the headstone. 'Specially if they mess with one of my Grand-Daughters.

Just saying,

salty

Zero Tolerance isn't a great idea, no matter the charge.

:iagree:

There was a news story, a while back, about some high school students. They didn't use the best judgement in the world, and used their phones to take and send certain pictures of themselves to each other.
They were somehow found out, and charged with distributing child pornography. If convicted of this charge, they were facing being labeled sex offenders for the rest of their lives.

saltydog452 made a really good point about "sex offenders." Some of them were 18 year olds who fogged up the windows with their 17 year old girlfriends, whose parents decided to press charges.
