These are actual mug shots.
Just think about this for a second: Did you ever see anyone arrested wearing a Bush T-shirt, or for you older guys, an Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, or even Nixon, or Bob Dole shirt.
The President must be so proud of his supporters!

Are those really mug shots? I'm only asking because of some weird paint/patterns on the wall behind a few of them. But yeah, there's an obvious pattern. Of course we've known throughout history that politicians often cater to criminals because it keeps them (the politicians) in power. The sheople cower and "baa" in fear, trading their freedom for "protection" the politicians are neither inclined nor able to provide.

Well, they are supposed to be actual mug shots from what I was sent originally, but you know this IS the Internet. They
ARE shots of someone's
MUG (face) so I guess that makes them mug shots.
I do know different agencies have different methods of photographing, so I would think they may be. We just used a concrete block wall behind our arrestee's so our photos looked kinda like the one bottom right for a background.
The guy on the bottom left looks like a guy I work with. May have to ask him.

Seems to me if they were true mug shots they would have an ID Placard visible in the picture (usually in the lower center of the picture which of course would cover up most of the Obama's displayed there).
Maybe Agencies have a newer way of identifying a picture of an offender these days. Such as digitally coding the info somewhere on the picture? Something along those lines since most all Mug Shots are probably taken these days with digital cameras?

I haven't found solid evidence these are actual mug shots, but an Iowa trooper was suspended for forwarding the photo in an email on his personal time from his personal account,
http://www.ketv.com/news/18585512/detail.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, so I guess the Iowa State Police felt they were valid enough.
BTW, a lot of newer mug shots have a digital overlay applied to them when required (depending on the sophistication of the department and their resources.) thesmokinggun.com where these originated have quite a few shots that are valid and match what the news media show with no numbers displayed. Older vintage shots have the old manual board in front. Also, some of these may have had the numbers cropped out as they could have been lower int he photo if still using the manual mug boards.

that group of mugs is from a web site called "The Smoking Gun". If you go to their archives and search Obama Mug Shots, you'll see the same picture(s). I'd post a link, but some of the mug shots might break the 13 year old daughter rule.
