Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that we have a Republican President, it's good for gun owners, but jeez I am getting tired of the corruption.
And you think that with a Democratic President there would be no corruption? I think not.
Unfortunately it is the evil of the system. It's just hid a bit better in the US than in other parts of the World.

Never said anything about a Democrat president not having any corruption, I'm just saying I'm getting tired of the corruption in the Bush Presidency. It seems every other week there's something coming out.
I see your point.
It wouldn't have been so bad if Bush hadn't sent all those hurricanes ashore in 2005 and flooded the midwest this year. An what is with all of those fires in California this year. You would think the threat of impeachment would straighten him out.
Thank goodness those interns have had a better time than when SLick Willie was there.
You think they will ever find out if Vince Foster really comitted suicide?
You know, the Department of Justice just has not been the same since Janet Reno left. I wonder if the Branch Davidians will ever rebuild? I bet the Cubans finally got over that kid being sent back to Cuba. What was his name?
You just don't hear as much about the FBI snipers anymore. Those folks up Idaho way must sleep better knowing that.
You can bet McCain or Obama will straighten things out.
After all, McCain is all about squashing rights starting out with the first amendment. You do know Obama is about change.

One thing I wish people would realise is it's not a Democrat vs. Republican issue (at least as far as corruption goes.)
Both are as corrupt as each other, and neither is immune from the trappings of power.
Thats one of the GOOD things about power changing hands, is it tends to clean things up, albeit briefly.
The system itself is broken, not any one party (Again, as far as corruption goes.) We can argue about differences in belief structures in another thread, but still, it's all the same stuff. Both parties give our hard earned tax dollars away to people that don't deserve it, the main difference is who gets it. (Businesses vs. people)

The people with the money have the power
Been that way since time began. Don't see it changing soon.

The only power they have is what we choose to give them. That having been said, how many people have the ability to govern themselves?

I do.
The only thing I need the government to do is what the constitution says they are authorized by the people to do.
I am people. (Semi-plagiarized from the movie
I Am Legend)
