U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC) has reintroduced the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 38). Representative Hudson, the longstanding champion of this legislation, along with more than 120 of his colleagues have sponsored this bipartisan bill to provide nationwide reciprocity for concealed carry license holders and residents of Constitutional Carry states.

Cornyn is a cosponsor in the senate.
Forgive me if I remain skeptical
Wonder what he's looking to trade this time?

Like many others, I view this as a Cornyn "show vote" where he knows the outcome (defeat of the bill) but pushes it to try to shore up his position. I had sleepless nights while the battle for Majority Leader was going on with any thought that he might get it.
Cornyn asside, this bill is a long shot and even if it were to pass, I would expect the Blue States to ignore it the way that they have with their Supreme Court loss in Bruen. Of all of the hope that I have in the Trump Presidency, fixing this problem is not in that hope chest. I don't expect to be driving through Maryland with my legal concealed carry any time soon.

A properly worded nationwide reciprocity wouldn't be a bad thing. They already recognize drivers licenses. Honestly states should reciprocate most licenses. It is silly, burdensome, and autocratic to have to get licenses in a variety of states.

I agree, and this would possibly sell. But, it has to exclude Constitutional Carry. There's no way it would fly without some kind of testing and licensing, like with driver's licenses.

I worry a little bit about the temptation to include some minimum licensing standards to get enough votes to pass cloture in the Senate.
If I'm being honest, I'm feeling certain this will never get through the Senate and the better, but still less than 50% chance will be via SCOTUS.
