Dallas Prepares for 'Armed Resistance' During Local Homeless Encampment Sweeps

Antifa is now actively preventing cleaning (not closure) of homeless camps in Dallas:

Dallas Prepares for 'Armed Resistance' During Local Homeless Encampment Sweeps
When city staff turned out for a cleanup of an encampment under Interstate 45 in July, they were met by dozens of activists, some of whom were armed with rifles. They used their bodies and cars to keep city staff from cleaning the encampment, according to a Dallas Morning News editorial condemning the activists’ armed response.

....The Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club, one of the groups involved in the July incident, told the Observer that "everyone possesses a right to defend their home from those who mean to harm them."
I guess they are ready to murder over public hygiene. How noble! :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana :anamatedbanana

When I came to Irving 21 years ago there was no homeless and as far as I know there was no section 8 housing. Now the homeless will lay in front of my church and plug their iPhone into an outlet we have outside. You can’t hardly get into Wingstop on Irving Blvd at night because all of the homeless laid out front using the electric outlets.

I have my own ideal of why we have such a homeless problem, but I don’t know exactly what the answer is.

Part of the problem has been the housing bubble Essentially when the Federal Reserve creates lots of money, and has low lending rates, the prices of houses go up far beyond what they should be... so the less fortunate can not afford housing. Texas has additional issues with regards to the influx of new residents, both legal and illegal.

Inside Dallas I have witnessed a massive amount of housing built over the last several years, but I am not sure it has kept up with demand. This isn't just a problem here. Vancouver Canada had a massive influx of people from Hong Kong and has a major homeless problem.

The other side of the issue is of course substance abuse and mental illness. That is a major area where Texas can make improvements.

always strikes me odd as the homeless have better phones than i do.
how do homeless have such nice cars as well and rifles ??? something is skewed wrong
i saw homeless and UNEMPLOYED in Austin begging for money while sitting in front of a home depot HELP wanted sign.
and my favorite in San Antonio a guy ran up to me at the river walk wanting money because his wife/girlfriend was pregnant ??

my grand daughter got an obama phone a few years ago when she was on the skids in florida...it never works right.
but she can text me to ask for money

and yes i spent thousands keeping her off the streets and in apartment, then i said enough is enough and funny i have not heard from her in months
breaks my heart

I am sorry for what you are going through. That is the sad stories that so many have. It is heart breaking when you have a wayward adult child or grandchild.

thanks
she is a source of me not sleeping very well. you can lead a horse to water , but having them drink from the trough is a whole nother enchilada
we have had her here and she did great, fixed her credit, bought a car had a great job...then the NDKRU$##*%#D boyfriend in fl convinced her we were not helping her. so it was it is
i half expect to get a call she is in jail, homeless or worse.
she is my kryptonite if she calls i would drop everything to go get her.
we had to do what i suspect many families end if doing, cut them off and pray they grow up or figure out its time to be an adult and use the brains they have to succeed
no body can do it for them, its like alcoholism ..only the person can decide its time for help

we laugh at how much money we just did not really know we were spending on her, until we stopped.
i could have bought 20 1911s last year

The Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club is the same bunch of retards who showed up to "defend" the "kid friendly" drag show at that sewer in Roanoke. They’re going to be serious trouble some day. It would be quite interesting to see what would happen if they got into a firefight with some decent-minded veterans who had actual combat experience and fire discipline.
