The 1st bus load of migrants/illegals/etc arrived in dc this morning
of course no democrat law maker was there to greet them :smilelol5:
and more on already on the road to dc.

gov needs to take next step
texas land is over 90% owned by private persons. governor needs to defy feds and do everything he can to increase oil and gas production.
he can override the feds permitting to draw fossil fuels from ground.

take a stand and place guarantees that investment into getting it out of the ground will not be wasted by biden in the future.

On a practical basis, 23 or so out of 250,000 is next to worthless.

In terms of the culture war, forcing the left to back up their words with actions, is priceless.

Bus them there and lets see the lefts reaction to having the illegals dumped into their neighborhood.

The left rants about 'taking care of these people' fine, here they are in your front yard. Now lets see you walk like you talk, take care of them.....

We should give them all tents to set up. Theres a decent amount of open grassy areas in the city they could use.

"White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday said it is “nice” of the state of Texas to bus illegal immigrants from the border to Washington, D.C., hours after the first bus out of Texas arrived blocks away from the U.S. Capitol building."

Yeah, it's not what it sounds like. Only 23, coded wristbands, envelopes containing immgration papers, etc. It's not like they just dumped a thousand of them on the street.

:iagree:
Exactly. It's strictly symbolic. It doesn't help this country in any way. If Abbott wants to help the country then seal the Texas border and start deportations.

According to Fox News last night, the bus was met by NGOs who would be sending the people to other U.S. locations. I was particularly interested in the fact that one of the people on the bus was openly defiant about going to Miami after Gov DeSantis specifically said that people here illegally were not welcome in Florida. The migrant apparently was ready to openly defy the governor.

It is also my understanding that the NGOs involved in relocating the people involved are being paid by the Federal government to do so.

23 people on the first bus. How many on the 2nd and 3rd? I don't see how this is making a difference. Why aren't the Republican congressional members there to meet the bus? Where's Cruz?

I'm less and less impressed with Abbott all the time. Isn't he due for term limits?

Whereas you may not be all that impressed with Abbott, think what this state would be like under Beto?

This small number of illegals being bussed to DC may be nothing more than a "political distraction" .... Abbot's current move towards mandatory "safety inspections" of all trucks entering Texas from Mexico seems to have some real impact already. When the media attention remains focused on the "bussing issue", the real work is being done elsewhere and seems to have already made some real gains.

:iagree:
MEXICAN STATES ADDING DRONES & PAYING FOR "THE WALL" (virtual wall as it may be) may still be a benefit in cutting the drug cartel, human trafficking etc...
Gov Abbott is doing what Presidents have failed to do every since the "war on drugs" was declared (getting Mexico to pay for something) ...

Well, I read Beto's dad was caught with Cartel drugs on his dashboard,"The substance, discovered inside a condom," in his car so ...
