Exactly. We just got back from camping over the weekend, everything is gassed up and ready to go. Onboard generator and large propane tanks can keep us going for a few weeks at least.

We have two 40lb propane tanks on the RV and I have 6 20lbs for my smokers and grills that are all filled. I try and keep them filled. We have a gas range and so if we have natural gas we have heat in the house.

We are ready. Got a generator last year, extension cords, plenty of cooking wood, 3 propane tanks, insulated suit for the wife and a french press coffee pot. Only thing I am missing is the waterbob for the bathtub.

Checked out generator yesterday, picked up (2) 40 lb. propane refills, went ahead and connected the cord from generator to transfer switch, picked up some extra wood for the grille and smoker.
Wife went to the store yesterday so we are good there.
Told all of my employees if roads get as bad as they expect, we will not work Thursday. We have 2 floating "emergency" days that we pay just for these bad weather events.
I'm as ready as I can get I guess.

Propane tanks are full. Checked all my flashlights/emergency lights and replaced batteries as needed. 4 Radios are charged, 2 to go. Topped off the gas tank. Power Bank for cells is charged. Eneloop batteries are being fully charged.

I’m not on ERCOT. Lol

ETA - I do still need to purchase a small generator to power the blower motor on my gas furnace, but it isn’t super-critical, since I also have a gas log fireplace and gas water heater.

and just like that we lost pwr at 928 pm
came on for a brief millisecond at 1100 pm
now its seem to be stable now, wifi finally finished resetting and all the heat units timed out several times from flicker
started at 104 volts, then o , then tried to stay at 110, then shut off
now we are back at 122

247 folks were out, its always our area in the community. we have the oldest lines and stuff.

but good news is house and rv garage stayed at a comfy 66 f which is what they were at before pwr went off.

weather bug app said we had heavy snow for almost an hr...hmmm nope just lots of heavy rain

Its good to be prepared! Glad you're staying warm! :cheers2:

We are still getting sleet here with a good dusting of ice/snow on the ground. Power has been good so far <cross fingers>

No electricity. It went out at 3:02AM. They say it will be back on at 2:30PM today. It is too cold to go outside and turn the key on the generator so I am waiting on my wife to give in first.
