I was hit with shock
she passed away this morning at 99 years of age, just weeks shy of her 100


RIP she was a real American Gem

I was also surprised at this, especially since she was in generally good health and I had just read an article the other day about her planning for her birthday. She will be missed.

Same here. Apparently it was to be a big shebang. My first memories of her were as a kid watching the Mary Tyler Moore show with Ed Asner. We lost him in 2021 also. I am beginning to feel old.

All of the stars from my younger days are leaving. The youth now a days don’t realize how great they were as actors without all of the computer generated special effects.

I won't be missing Ed Asner.

I first remember her from Password with Alan Ludden her husband. She was a regular fill in guest star contestant.

Then the Golden Girls.

Then guest rolls in movies, always a treat to see her.

Made old age not seem so bad.

Will be missed.

it was reported she was in good medical shape and the 100 birthday party was going to a big deal.
seems very weird that she passed.
but she passed in her sleep, so no prolonged suffering


she always made me smile with her antics and just bright alive attitude
