“I see that everybody is comparing Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter,” Trump noted. “It would seem to me that is very unfair to Jimmy Carter. Jimmy mishandled crisis after crisis, but Biden has CREATED crisis after crisis.”

He is still trying hard to keep the title, but I’m sure Brandon will win.

TX Lt. Governor Barnes in hospice, says that he and John Connelly before the 1980 election went all over the Middle East to tell leaders to not release hostages until Regan was President. Regan they said will give Iran a better deal than Carter.
I guess this would violate the Logan Act.

I remember Jimmy... and Brandon makes Jimmy look good. At least Jimmy was actually elected and wasn't on the take.

Yes, whatever else one might think and say, the Carter's are at least good people. RIP

After he left office, I realized he was too nice a person to be President.
Probably the best post presidency.

I would disagree. Until Biden, he was the worse President in modern history. But he IS the worse Ex-President - even worse than Obama IF he was pulling all the strings in the Biden presidency.
Erick Erickson and Scott Jennings both have the best brief video takes on this I have ever heard (links below). But stories I have read over the years of Carter's public persona of being this soft spoken Southerner, was just that - a
public persona.
His meddling in foreign affairs and US policy was very well known. I didn't remember that he actively tried to get the Russians to interfere in Reagan's second election but he did. Clinton and Obama both were frustrated with his interference as were the both Bush Presidents and Trump. He was in too poor of health to interfere with Biden's presidency. He took the side of every dictator around the world as an ex-President undermining whatever was the policy of the sitting President. He actively worked against the interests of the United States as an ex-President.
In Scott Jennings link below - he mentions how Jimmy Carter wrote all of our allies leading up to the Gulf War trying to get them to abandon the coalition with the US. Philip Klein's post correctly states that one could call his post presidency meddling as treasonous.
The only good thing about his post presidency was his work with Habitat for Humanity building houses. He was an absolutely horrible ex-President!

I disagree as well. Carter's the second worst president behind Biden who is definitely the worst; at least in my lifetime.

Jimmy Carter was the last Democrat I ever voted for. I voted for him because he stated many times he was a Christian. However, his failings as a President overshadowed that claim.
